At the centre of everything I do is my belief that no child should be left behind because of their ability, SEN, background or experience of school. I provide learning opportunities that centre around fun, games and your child's interest. My experience has shown me that children learn best when they are engaged or have a genuine interest. This guides my teaching practice.
I am an effective teacher and can plan, deliver and assess outstanding lessons for the children that I teach. I have taught a variety of year groups from Reception to Year 6 throughout my career so far and I have been a leader within schools for the last seven years including roles as Assistant Head Teacher, Phase Leader, Infant Leader and various curriculum leadership roles including English and Maths.
Lessons that I have taught have been as graded as 'Outstanding' as part of a schools Ofsted inspection. I have previously been in charge of writing a school's syllabus and planning for opening whilst the school went from being a small number of children in a temporary building to being a fully open two form entry Primary School.
I then led the Infant Phase of the school, which then received an 'outstanding grade' in it's first ever Ofsted inspection whilst I was still leading the Phase.

In 2019 I decided to have a break from teaching to deepen my understanding of SEN and home education. I therefore had a role of working for the Local Authority's SEN team. I was responsible for a caseload of 200 children some who were home educated. My role included liasing with children and their families, Educational Psychologists, Doctors, Schools and a range of other professionals, writing EHCPs and looking at the provision that the schools provided these children.
This role gave me a valuable insight into the ethos of many Home Educated families and the sometimes negative experiences faced by children in the mainstream school environment.

I have worked as a private tutor for the last 2 years and during this time have had experience of tutoring children from Year 1 to Year 6, including home educated and SEN children. I have also worked as a SENDCo for the last year and I currently engage in small amounts of SENDCo work alongside my tuition.
